Code of Business Ethics
Last reviewed: 5 November 2026
Who this applies to
This code sets out how Qallann Consulting Limited, its team and its associates conduct business. It applies to everyone who works on a Qallann engagement.
Honest advice
We tell clients what the evidence shows, including when it is unwelcome. We do not promise results we cannot control, and we label assumptions as assumptions.
Conflicts of interest
We declare any interest that could affect our advice, including relationships with suppliers, competitors or programme staff. Where a conflict cannot be managed, we step back from the work.
Independence in programme work
When a programme engages us to assess its businesses, our recommendations are based on each business’s needs. Where we recommend a service we could deliver ourselves, we say so clearly.
Gifts and bribery
We do not offer, give, ask for or accept bribes or payments to win or keep business. We decline gifts or hospitality that could influence, or appear to influence, a decision. Anything above KES 5,000 in value is declared and recorded.
Confidentiality
Client information is used only for that client’s work. We do not share it, publish it or use it for anyone else without permission. When we use AI tools, we use accounts that do not train on client information, and a person reviews all work before it reaches a client.
Fair dealing
We price clearly, invoice accurately and keep to what we agreed. We compete on the quality of our work and do not misrepresent competitors.
Respect
We treat clients, founders, associates and suppliers with respect, and we do not tolerate harassment or discrimination.
Raising a concern
Anyone, inside or outside Qallann, can raise a concern about our conduct by emailing legal@qallann.com. Concerns are handled in confidence, and nobody is penalised for raising one in good faith.
